Once again

Once again, I sing

Once again, I worship

You’ve proven me your presence

Touchable, tangible and real

I closed my eyes

I let it go, I let it out

All I wanted is to give you my heart and my all

You’ve shown me more

You’ve given me more

More than I was asking for

I asked for your presence to lead

I asked for your Love to overtake

I simply pour out my heart

You poured out your Spirit

I did not sing, I worship

Heart full of gratitude

Heart longs for You

Heart wants to touch Yours

Oh, how I love your presence

How I want for more

More of you, I long for

I seek you, find you and love you

This peace no one else can give

Once again, I feel brave

Once again, I feel loved

Once again, I do not ask anything

But your presence

World can give confusions

Yours is clarity of mind

Once again, I am home

The freedom I feel when I come

Peace I get when I call

Joy you freely given

Once again, let me say

Your presence is life to me

Love that I get from you

Let me share to others too

God, how amazing your love is

How can I live without this

Worthy are you, Lord

A God like you deserves to be adored

Once again I will tell you now and forever

Jesus, you are everything I ever needed

“When you worship Me, they will hear Me.”

You know I was so blessed to hear you worshiping. Hear you singing, just loving God. And I believe that God will anoint you more and more. I don’t know what your heart desire is. I just wanna sing over you. I know that God… You know the father says that even when the father sings over us, he dances over us with joy and sings over us. See, we sing a lot, we hear a lot about the song of the Lord. We hear a lot about the song of a bride. The song the bridegroom, see, God sings over us. You have prophecy like just people speak it; we have prophesy that is sung. And God has given me the grace and anointing to sing over people and just to release the word of God over their lives, and to see a song being sung is so powerful. And it’s awesome when God sings.

I love praise and worship. I love it. But to be honest with you. It is wonderful to sing song. But I always wait when the prophetic song kicks in, then the Spirit begins to sing. It’s not our song anymore. It’s not our music anymore. It’s not our words anymore. But it is His song and his words.

We must always come to a place in praise and worship when God begins to sing. And those songs will touch people’s lives. I’d love to sing ‘Lord I give you my heart, I give you my soul…I live for you alone. Every breath that I take every moment I’m awake, Lord have Your way in me.’

It is wonderful to sing. Songs that has been written by men but when God sings over us, and God begins to sing like:

When you give your life to ME, when you surrender it all, I will use you the way the best I can. I will anoint your hands, I will anoint you. I will let my anointing flow. Surrender yourself to Me as you worship Me, I will touch your heart and your life. I will make known Myself to you, I will speak to you, just surrender yourself to Me, your life, your heart, your eyes, your hands, your feet, give it all to Me. I will set you free. This is just the beginning, this is just the beginning, where I will speak to you, and you will hear my voice, and I will speak to you in many ways, and when you hear my voice there will be a melody, songs from heaven will fill your heart and when you sing the song of the Lord, your heart and voice will beat as one as you sing the revelation of the Son. You release it with power and authority, the songs will be released with power and authority. It will set the captives free. Sing, sing a song of the Lord, and don’t hold back. Sing the song of the Lord, don’t hold back. I will anoint you, I will anoint your voice more and more. It will not stop, it will not cease, it will grow as you worship Me in liberty, a freedom to fill the place, my glory will shine on your face. I am with you. I called you. I will anoint you. I will lead you and I will guide you. I will fill the songs in your mouth, I will fill it up with My words. Just worship Me in my presence. Just worship Me and you will see, it will touch many lives, it will talk to many lives when you worship Me. When you worship Me, they will hear Me, they will hear Me, they will hear Me.

“When you worship Me, they will hear Me”

From Psalmist Abraham Laisana

Conference: Prophetic Worship

Church of Zion

La Cabana Aruba

O4.17.2013 10:32pm

Three years ago, I received these prophetic words from a psalmist named Abraham Laisina from the Netherlands. He was our guest speaker for the Praise and Worship Prophetic Conference organized by the Church of Zion Aruba.

I remember someone recorded it from church, an mp3 file, so I had the chance to listen to it, and I wrote them down. He said those words to me in the form of singing. I was one of the worship leaders that night, and because I am always nervous each time I lead, I got worried.

I’ve been leading worship for how many years, but still, I get anxious each time. It is God’s grace that I can stand up on stage. I was quietly praying to God before the event starts. I asked him to magnificently flow in the room and to everyone’s heart and to me, of course.

Here’s my prayer in private “God, please show me if I am really called to do this, make me have that feeling of satisfaction and joy as I do this service for you. Your will be done, and may you found my heart pure before you.”

I love to sing. But just because someone can sing doesn’t mean you can be a worship leader. There is more to it, and it’s accompanied by a great responsibility. Why? Because you are about to usher the people in the presence of God. For you to lead the people in worship, you should be in his presence first, soaking into His Word and prayer so you can worship Him in Spirit and truth. For me, without sounding religious, praising God is everything to me. I love to sing for Him. Today, I want to share this revelation that God has revealed to me.

I love to be in His presence. Words are not enough to express how great the feeling is when I am in His presence. It is life to me. A few days before the conference, God has been speaking to me to surrender everything to Him. A few days before the conference, God has been speaking to me. God wants me to surrender everything to Him, so He can use me. Emptying myself so He can fill me. I am longing for Him. He is the only one who can meet everything we need.

Despite trials, pain, and struggles, I dared to keep going, keep moving, and believe that all things work together for good to those who love God.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:28

To tell you the truth, I have nothing to boast about my life. I don’t have riches in this world. But what I have is Jesus and that I can say I have my everything. I do not want to sound so holy or be called ‘holier than thou’ because I am not.

I am imperfect, a sinner saved by His grace. But what I can boast about is the grace of God that overflows in my life. When I worship Him in the privacy of my room or in public, I found my self in a different state, it seems everything is perfect. I can feel the deepest of peace where I cannot get from anyone or anything in this world.

Nowadays, when you look at social media, crimes, war, and filthy things are everywhere. We can all see it being depressing and heartbreaking. Buth with His promises, you can sleep peacefully and soundly and be assured that you are safe. Not to worry too much because you know that He will hold you, guide you, and protect you.

“For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” Isaiah41:13

Worshiping God is loving Him

“You know what? I am blessed to hear you singing, to hear you worshiping Him, simply loving God,” Bro. Abraham came to me saying this line and started to prophesy. I don’t know. The last time I remember, I was really pouring out my heart to God. I had to prepare my heart. I was so nervous, and all I can say to God is to take over.

“I don’t want to be seen here, I want your presence to flow through me, through the team, through the leaders and just simply use us for your revelation to people” I prayed.

When you are a worship leader, you sometimes forgot that the worship time is not your time. We are worried about what we are going to say, our attire, about our voice, about the music and instruments, the quality of the sound, etc. See what I prayed first “God, show me that I am called for this” It was selfish of me that I want to lead well instead of HIM be glorified.

‘Show me I am called for this’ is asking him to prove that he is calling me to do this and he has to accompany me as I lead. There is no problem with acknowledging HIm, that is my point actually, but often time worship leaders are so worried about the outcome of the whole worship time.

But at the end of my every prayer. “Jesus, it is not about me, about the songs, about the music, not about us, It is all about YOU.”

Worshiping God is a lifestyle.

We must check our hearts from time to time. It is not actually the quality of my voice that matters when I lead, it is about the content of my heart towards the Lord. Why are you singing? Is it because you have a good voice? Is it because everyone is in the team and you just wanted to join? Is it because it looks fun in the worship team? NO.

You are there to worship GOD alone. Whether you are in the group or not, wherever you are, a true worshiper worships everywhere. Worship is not about singing or playing instruments. It is a lifestyle. Whatever you do that gives glory to Him is worship.

The fact that I have no strength to speak and to do things because I was so nervous. I let it go. I allow God to take over, and I will simply focus my heart to HIM. It is His grace that flow to me, so I would be able to do what he wants me to do. I know in my self that I cannot do it, but because He told me to do it, I obey knowing He will be with me.

When you are called by God to do a task, He will surely enable you. Just say “YES Lord, I will follow” with all your trust, He will guide you.

God gave me the grace to sing. And I want to use that for Him. We all do have God-given gifts, let us use them for His glory.

Purpose in Life

Today, it was not an accident that I got to read my old journal, I believe. I was reminded of my purpose in life. At the present time, the world’s standard of living is so high and depressing. Everyone runs to the top of the world, they work hard to be in the highest rank of life. Money, fame, and beauty, they worry about.

There were times in my life that I got depressed seeing my batchmates having a good experience, they travel, they have their own family, good career, house and lot, beautiful skin and faces, etc. and I started to look down on myself. I feel terrible! But God’s word is so comforting, and he rebuked me.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36

People may seem to have a good and perfect life, but God is looking to our hearts. He is more concerned with our souls.
I thank God, for he taught me how to be content and to keep fixing my eyes on Him so that all I can see every day is beautiful. He is lovely, and He created me in His own image. So, I am beautiful :), right? HAHA

The Prayer

Bro. Abraham ended his encouragement in prayer for me:

Father, I thank you in Jesus name. Lord, I release even the prophetic anointing. Lord the psalmist anointing. Lord, that is even upon my life. Father, I release Lord the measure of that anointing. I impart, I release, Lord that she may sing the song of the Lord, she may declare the prophetic song without fear and without hesitation and with power and authority. It shall come forth like a river it’ll flow in Jesus name. In Jesus name. Amen

God spoke to me through Him. These are one of the days where I only want to be wrapped in His arms. We fail most of the time, but His love never changes, never fails, and unending that challenges us to know him deeper.

I needed a confirmation for what I have been praying for, and there He goes, showing me this again. God is stirring my heart, and I do not want to live, not doing my purpose. God is calling every one of us, and He wants you as well. He wants your heart so he can freely move miracles in your life. Surrender yourself to Him.

Be a blessing!

Life Lessons on 30th

Kids want to get old and older people wanted to be kids again. The same feeling as others who turned at this age, I had that moment of truth. Like “Wait, really? What happened?” It is also a moment where you evaluate your life and will have a profound realizations. Let me share my thoughts on turning 29ish.

LIFE IS SHORT, Be Content.

I become more aware of my age. If we only know when we will die, we will live every day as if it is our last. But reality check, we do not know when. But we all know that our life here on earth is short to be negative all the time. Why not spend your years meaningful and happy? How?

Contentment is one of the answers. We are all given an experience to enjoy. Just because some are rich, you should hate yourself being poor and choose to pity yourself. Just because you are in the Philippines and most of your friends work abroad doesn’t mean you are not successful. Also, only because they work abroad doesn’t mean they don’t experience struggles and hardships. Life is not a competition. Be content on whatever you have.

We all do, wherever we are, whatever we do, we all undergo in the process of learning and enjoying life. Admit it or not; we have and had depressions and anxiety attacks at times. You started to look down on yourself and believe the thinking that you are nothing because you are also starting to compare yourself to others.

We always want more.

I remember someone who once said, “If I will only have that phone, I will end up there and will not ask for more” He got that phone, but guess what every year he wants to change his phone.

High technology, trending, everyone has it and ending up “I want that too”. If the cellphone is only a way of communication and if it still works, why should I buy a new and expensive one? It is okay to upgrade or buy whenever and whatever you want. It’s not a problem as long as you can afford and know your priorities. My point is, in our lives, we never be content if we will freely let ourselves flow how the world goes.

You get frustrated when you can’t have what you want, the luxurious life that everyone wants, and start to feel jealous and compare yourself to others.

Be content. If others are rich, let them be rich. If you think you are poor, you are wrong. God has given us everything we need.

You have to know the difference between NEEDS and WANTS.

Hebrews 13:5(ESV)

Keep your life free from love of money and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

1 Timothy 6:6-11 (ESV)

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain, 7 for we brought nothing into the world, and[a] we cannot take anything out of the world. 8 But if we have food and clothing, with these, we will be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

When I was younger, I used to be like someone who wants more. I want this and that. I had deep thoughts of being rich—my own big house, car, and beautiful branded clothes. I spent time thinking and wishing my life to be like that, perfect as others look at it. And when I came back to reality, I started to get mad at my parents. “If only they are rich.”

But as time goes by, as I learned from life and see what truly the real treasure is and through God’s word, the light unto our path, I changed.

My perspective in life changes. That “if only they/I am rich” turns to “If only I am content”. If only from the very start, I am content, I would be happier and appreciate the beauty of life.

I do not want to spend my life on earth, comparing my life with others. I want and choose to be content. Thank God for his correction and learning.

Love Yourself.

It is a broad topic to discuss. I will be clear when I say, “Love yourself and Be yourself,” God loves everyone and accepts us for who we are. I will only talk about a situation where self-pity and low self-esteem overwhelm me.

Many of us dwell on the thoughts “I am not good enough” “I am not capable” “I can’t achieve great things” “I am miserable” “I can’t achieve my dreams” “I will be forever like this.”

Regardless of age, we tend to dwell on negative thoughts. “Buti pa sila” “Buti ka pa” Those words and thoughts unconsciously destroying your character and personality. You forget who you are because you are filled with others’ attainments and even look at their flaws to make yourself believe either you are better than them or you are wretchedly unhappy.

Both results are not right. If you don’t know how to balance, you will become insecure and end up comparing yourself to others and hatred starting to fill your heart to the people. You think they’ve got them all good together in their lives and you don’t.

Sadly, you become hard on yourself unknowingly. You become jealous of other’s possessions and achievements instead of focusing on your abilities and accomplishments.

Social media is something we can access to others’ lives, and you started to think that they are more blessed or fortunate than you are. Typically, we sometimes feel jealous; everybody thinks that, admit it or not.

Search your heart. If you want to have a peaceful life, begin to love yourself and see the good things in your heart. I admire people who are happy with others success. They are very few. Do not be somebody else. Be yourself. Love yourself.

There will always be someone better than you, prettier or more handsome than you, smarter than you, more abundant than you, but there is only one YOU. You are unique.

When I realized that I wanted to write, a dream held in my heart for a long time. I doubted it first because I focused on others’ works. They are so good, and I am not. I admit I still have to learn things. I have learned that I won’t achieve any goals in my life if I don’t step on it. JUST DO IT.

I do not write because everyone can write (for bloggers and writers). I write because I love to. I need this to make me feel happy and fulfilled. They are better than me, yes, I know. I admire them, but instead of focusing on those ‘more than you’, look into your heart, START, and appreciate your self. You will be amazed at how God becomes gracious in bestowing blessings and favors, abilities, skills, talents, and gifts upon you.

I can’t say that I can write excellent, but by doing this, I love myself. It helps me to express myself. So whether people won’t like what I am writing or saying here, I will still do it because I love doing this. 🙂

I am God’s masterpiece. You are God’s masterpiece. It means you are His great art of work.

Ephesians 2:10 New Living Translations (NLT)

10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Nobody to Somebody

I am 30, and during my younger years, negative thoughts like these empower me. It does happen to me still at times. I don’t like it. I do not want my heart to be consumed with dirty things such as hatred, greed, anger, jealousy, frustrations, depressions and all.

Everyone does not like them, of course. I do not want to live like that, so seeking the ONE who created us is the best way to know what is good and what is not and to know right and wrong.

I am so thankful that the life God has given us every day is a chance and challenge for ourselves to be better. We must live a life with a purpose.

You learn along the way; your journey of being Nobody to Somebody is not comfortable, yet it is fulfilling. I used to believe that I am just nobody and won’t be able to achieve great things.

Yes, if I have to compare my life to my college friends and batchmates, and define success as possessions and career growth, I would say I am nobody.

In my previous posts, you would read how was my life in 4 years living in Aruba. A part of my Story if you want to know. 🙂 But I would say I am Somebody now. I am not boasting about my life. Honestly, I have nothing to brag about.

At this age, I do not have a job everyone dreams; I don’t have a house or a car, I don’t have expensive clothes, I do not have gadgets that everyone wants. I don’t have money to eat to some fine dining restaurants, name them; I have nothing to boast.

But let me tell you, I have a job, not a good position but I have at least I have a job. I do not have my own house, but I have people who treat me like their own family, besides from my father’s place, I still find a home by those people who are kind to me.

Gadgets? To tell you honestly, I didn’t spend a lot of money on my phone, laptop, and iPad. They are almost free. Freely given to me.

Restaurants, I can eat sushi, which we all know are expensive. I ate at fine dining restaurants because of lovely people who invite me at times, again it’s free.

This how I call favor from the Lord. I don’t demand things; God is showering His blessings to me. I am so blessed. Really. I don’t mind if other people look down on me. I am not explaining myself for the ones who think I have all together. I also experience things here, huh!

You just have to be content, love yourself, and to be somebody. Somebody means knowing your identity in Christ. When negative of this world strike you, remember who you are in Christ. You are accepted. A new creation, blessed, cherished, designed by God, favored, forgiven, saved, unique, loved, and victorious. The Lord sees us so beautiful, you have to believe you are.

From a person who thinks she is a Nobody, she has learned to embrace the love of God to be a Somebody, knowing her worth.

I am an Egg! HAHA

I am like an egg, mixed with other ingredients to bake a cake. I used to like to be isolated. I was covering myself with my shell. I don’t like to see the world as being open-minded and just believing what I want to think. I do not want to open myself to anyone.

I am okay being inside, comfortable. But I had to let someone break my shell for me to be useful and to live longer, I guess (mabubugok ako e!). Breaking the shell could be painful for me; adjustments will happen because I’ve been living inside my shell for a long time.

A time comes that I need to be put in a bowl and mixed with other ingredients. I am an egg; that is my purpose of living, so I let myself mixed to others. In the mixing process, I need to blend in for the baker can create a perfect cake.

Mixed and put in a pan. When ready, set in an oven to bake, you cannot make a cake if you don’t put the mixture in an oven. The temperature would be so hot inside the oven, but it is needed for a cake to be baked.

As soon as you are ready, the delicious sweet aroma will spread the whole area. Just like when you pass a bakery, you smell the delicious cakes and breads. whooo 🙂 Dushi! And you are ready to be eaten.

I let God break me and release me from my shell. Shellfishness. Haha

Selfishness. It is not always about myself, being comfortable, and not to see others needs. I have to give myself to be used and be useful. It does not provide you with satisfaction when you are alone inside your shell.

Perhaps, God created you for something else or more; that is why you are longing for that purpose for you to feel the satisfaction.

He needed to break me so I can give myself away. When I say, “Okay, Lord, have your way,” I let the Baker do as he wishes. It was not easy; it’s uncomfortable.

“What? Why do I have to mix myself with others? Why do I have to blend in? I can be alone.” “I don’t care about them. I will live my life on my own.”

Yeah. “self” where we can only think about ourselves, what we want, what we feel, what makes us comfortable without desiring to see others’ needs or situations.

That is the moment I got to see different and difficult people around me, but I still have to accept them for who they are and blend in because they are also God’s creation with different functions in the world just like me.

To please everyone is not my intent. The point is that God shows me that I am loved, and he also teaches me how to love. I am not saying even that I can love someone utterly. Only God can do that.

But Jesus inspires us to love others. Well, the greatest commandments God gave us:

Matthew 22:36-40

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Loving yourself makes you love others. Loving others is loving God.

Fruits of the Spirit

The mixing process produces you with these characters that God wants us to learn. I am not saying I have them at all times. I am human. I am not perfect, I am so perfectly imperfect, but I have a perfect God who loves me just the way I am and teach me how to live a life meaningful.

His word is a guide for me to be on the right path. Sometimes I am in doubt about writing things like this; I don’t want to let people feel uncomfortable by making them think, “I have the perfect life.”

Of course not, again, I am not going to boast about myself, but I can boast about the ONE who helps me becoming like this. I still have things to learn, I know. Just like the saying, “Experience is the best teacher, and the worst experiences are the best lessons” In life, learning is a continual cycle. Live to learn.

The baking time. Those are the times when you want to get out of it because it is painful; you feel like you can’t endure the temperature anymore.

This stage could be the painful experiences in your life, dealing with difficult people, facing different tragedies in life, financial problems, broken hearts, broken lives, etc. you feel like there will be no escape.

There is a time for everything. Even the baker wants to get you from the oven; he still has to see if you are ready. I have to wait for the right time until I am ready.

Sometimes you have to endure it for a long time, but guess what? When you wait, the result will always be great. There is a blessing in waiting.

When the Baker takes the cake out from the hot oven, he knows that you are ready. The aroma will spread out the place. You will see the smile from the Baker and from the people around you wanting you to be part of their lives.

The praise will always go to my Baker for making a good cake or bread. You are becoming a blessing. You make them happy. It is so fulfilling to see you are blessed to be a blessing.

Final Words

Life is short. We should learn how to be content and enjoy life. I will repeat it, stop comparing yourself to others. While living on earth, do not waste your time comparing yourself to others; instead, appreciate yourself. We are unique in our way.

Find things that make you happy. If you have a desire and dream deep down your heart and you still didn’t act with it, just do it. We are all learning. If you fail, it’s okay but never stop learning.

Like what I am doing, if writing makes me happy, even if there are people who are better than me, I will keep doing this, I guess. HAHA.

Because I am becoming proud of myself, I used to have low self-esteem, yet I am sharing my deepest thoughts, which help me see my worth.

When you learn lessons from life, choose to be a blessing. There’s someone out there who needs your story to be refreshed, encouraged, and be reminded again. Share yours! Be a blessing!

If you are still reading this, thank you so much for your time. These are some of my great lessons in my 29ish living in this world. I still want and have to learn a lot of things. And may this be an encouragement to you. I would love to hear from you by writing on the comment box. Yey! God bless you 🙂

When God Speaks

For those who dwell on negative thoughts, always afraid, who look down on themselves, I feel you. I understand. Been there, done that. But God wants you to know that the fear and timidity are not from Him. He gives us power, love, and self-discipline. We just have to believe Him, and receive the blessings He has given us. Take your time; every one has its time table.

There are days in my life that I do dwell on negative thoughts. Everybody does, I guess. I wonder, when will I be brave enough.

I am about life’s goals and dreams.

These days, I’ve been meditating on what I want to do in life. What is my ultimate dream? What is really in my heart? To be honest, right now, I do not know.

As an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker), my options are very limited. You can’t just do what you want, or choose a job that you want. You have to follow the rules and wait for the right time.

Everyone has dreams. I can’t think of one now. Is that a bad thing? I do not know. But today, God once again revealed His message. He never wants me to end the day with questions unanswered.

God speaks.

God speaks through people.

The Chat

The Lord reaches us up in different ways. He uses people as instruments to release His message.

I was chatting with my sister and randomly asked her:

Ate Queen, kung meron kang gusto mangyari o pangarap sa buhay ko, ano ‘yon? (If you had a dream for me, what would it be?)I asked.

“Gusto kong matupad mo ang pangarap mong maging guro” (I want you to achieve your dream to be a teacher).Pero ayokong magplano for you, gusto ko ikaw” (But I do not want to plan for you. I want you to do it yourself), she replied.

“I do not know what I want to do. I don’t know what else to do. How would I know?” I answered.

“Pray. Fast and Do something, try!”

I do pray. I fast (not always hehe) Doing something? Hmmm. Well that? I am scared to try. I am afraid to fail.

The same day, I was chatting with one of the awesome missionaries I’ve met. His name is Garret.

“The Father is just stirring your heart up to do something great. Listen to Him” Timely, huh? I’ve been running from His plans, I guess.

And again, He uses people as instruments to release His message. Unaccidentally, every word is uttered to me for a reason.

A kid

I had a sweet conversation with a girl named Sharon, seven years old. I love talking to kids because their hearts are so pure.

I asked her first with some random questions:

“What do you think the reasons why Princess is here in Aruba?”
  • to be with her father and family
  • to have a job
  • to go to church
  • to have a date in Aruba?
  • to be with Brandon
  • to marry in Aruba and stay in a hotel
What are the things you know Princess is capable of doing?
  • You are good at counting money, so you need to work in a shop or store.
  • You’ll do your concert, and everybody will buy a ticket to come and see

Do they make sense? HAHA 🙂 I love this! I love the second one. Let’s dream big!

Which one is better? Princess in the Philippines or Princess in Aruba?

Princess in Aruba because you’ll get more money in Aruba, unlike in the Philippines, you’ll get one penny.

HAHAHAHAHA Okay!

Why? Do you think money can make you happy?

NO.

So, Why?

Stay in Aruba because I said so.

Yes Ma’am! LOL

Now it’s her turn to ask questions. You can’t win. She wants to have her turn.

Do you think God protects you all the time?

Yes.

Do you think God gives everything you want?

I didn’t answer immediately. “No, not all. Everything I need, YES.”

Do you think the Lord talks to you every minute?

“YES”

The time when I needed to hear these words, God sends people to let me know He is speaking.

God speaks through His Word.

The Bible says “For God did not give us a spirit of fear and timidity but one of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Power

Being timid is not from Him. I struggle with this—I kind of panic when people are looking at me, afraid to make mistakes. Instead of a smooth public speaking, for example, because I got shy, it all made it worst. I forgot all the lines and focused on being embarrassed.

Have you ever feel exhausted being afraid all the time? Uncertain every time? Have you been looking down on yourself?

Deep down your heart, you know you are competent. But when fear and timidity are taking over, you feel small. It seems like you will never get out of that pit.

So what now? God speaks through His word. Believe and receive the blessings he is bestowing you.

God gives you the power. It means He has given you the ability to do something. You are capable of doing something great. God has given you the strength to conquer anything, and to achieve something exceptional.

Sometimes, it is difficult for us to believe this,  and we hesitate to receive His good gifts with open hands. We only think how weak we are, and fail to remember that God has accorded us the potential to be the best of ourselves.

Negative thoughts hinder us from seeing the good things He has in store for us. Try to be positive now.  It’s about believing and receiving.

Love

We all need love in our lives. God is love, and He gave us Himself.

Take time to sink this into your heart: God loves to love you. His nature is to love us unconditionally. When guilt creeps in, and you think you are not deserving of His abundant blessings and goodness, stop right there. You are wrong!

Let me put it this way; whether you love him or not, he will love you no matter what. His love is perfect for your imperfections. He doesn’t require you to be flawless. He accepts you for who you are, including your flaws.

Isn’t it amazing? When you realized that, you would learn to love the right way — to love yourself and others.

We can only love someone the right way and godly through God’s help. It is not something we can do by fleshly efforts.

You are not just given the power to do that something but also love to overcome everything along the way.

Self-discipline

I lack of self-discipline, I admit.

Focusing on the things I can’t do for a moment doesn’t give any help. If I want to achieve something, I should learn to rule myself and develop a habit.

If you want to be an active blogger or writer, then you should write frequently. If you’re going to do something, begin somewhere and keep going. Train yourself to focus.

The Lord didn’t let this WORD written in the Bible for nothing. He knows people like me will struggle at some point, so He is reminding me that the Lord never gives us the spirit of fear and timidity. He gives us strength, love, and self -discipline.

It also means they only come from Him. So run to the ONE who has them and receive them.

Reflection

The sudden thoughts in our mind are not just thoughts from nowhere.

He speaks through your heart, through His Word, through people, through situations. He hears everything. He sees everything. He knows everything. He will not just sit down and watch over me, but He is working for me to know that He is calling me for a higher purpose.

Be attentive to God’s voice. It would be difficult for us to focus on what He is saying if we are so preoccupied with many things. Nowadays, social media are taking over our lives. No matter how we try not to be attached, they are already one of the significant necessities and destructions at the same time in our lives.

I am not against social media or anything like that. God is just simply saying to use our time wisely. If you need to lessen the time spent browsing on the internet, please do so. Take time to listen by praying and reading His Word.

Do not be afraid to try. Wag matakot sumubok. Stop being pessimistic.

My sister added on our chat, “Wag mo i-base ang buhay mo sa buhay ng iba. Iba iba tayo ng plano ng Lord, promise unique yan sayo. Basta gawin mo lang ang kalooban ng Diyos sa buhay mo. Walk with it, and you will see” (Don’t compare your life with other’s lives, God has a different plan for everyone and believe me, yours is unique)

Do not walk the plans of others in your life. What do you want to happen? What do you want to do? The things you are good at know them. Consider these questions. Do not listen to others’ dictation in your life. Do what you want to do, and God wants you to do.

It’s about Believing and Receiving.

If you are in my situation? What is your response?

Here are the verses to reflect on:

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things. Romans 8:32

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Luke 11:9-10

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

1 The LORD is my shepherd. I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet waters,
3, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Psalm 23

Amazed

Amazed

I don’t want to doubt you anymore

‘Coz you’ve proven me your love, O Lord

I only need to have faith and fear no more

‘Coz you’ve proven me your love, O Lord

Every time I ponder about you

The wonders of your hands

Every time I pray and kneel before you

Seeking you with all my heart

I am amazed, I am found by You

I am not alone

I feel your comfort, Lord

I am overwhelmed by your presence

I am overwhelmed

When I call, when I pray

You listen, You are there

I will bow down I will worship

For you alone our God

You alone are God

Worth Keeping

When I feel alone and full of pain
When I'm in trouble and full of sorrows
All I can do is to trust you more
All I wanna do is to give my heart to you, Lord
You said, be strong and have good courage
You said, the battle is Yours
You said, You'll go before me
And you will be with me
You said, do not be afraid
You said, do not be discouraged
I'll never leave you
Nor forsake you
Your Word is true and worth keeping
I will keep on believing
That there's a time for everything
In every season I will trust you, Lord

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
