Turning 40 feels different than I imagined. It’s quieter, deeper, and more grounded. Less about having everything figured out, and more about trusting God through every season. Over the years, I’ve learned that life isn’t about perfection—it’s about faith, growth, and grace. Here are 40 simple life lessons I’m carrying with me into this new chapter.

Looking Back with a Grateful Heart

Looking back at these 40 lessons, I realize they are not just things I learned — they are prayers answered, tears wiped, faith stretched, and grace received. Every season, both beautiful and painful, has shaped me into who I am today. Through it all, God has been constant.

Chapter 40 is not about having everything figured out. It’s about trusting the One who does. It’s about walking by faith, choosing gratitude daily, and believing that the best is still ahead.

If the past 40 years have taught me anything, it’s this: God is faithful. And as I step into this new chapter, I do so with a grateful heart, steady faith, and full trust in His plans.
